I am still accepting visitors! I would be remiss in not stating this:
All of you that have come by have really lifted my spirits! Thank you very much for all of you that prayed with me when you came to my room. This is what it is all about: HIM. I can only beat this disease with God on my side. "Obey God's Word and be healed." Exodus 15:26 and the New Living Version Translation states "If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying the commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you."I know this does not mean that just because I obey all of his laws from now on (as if anyone could ever do that because we are all sinners) but in the back of my mind it makes me wonder about the purpose this event is having in my life. Following Him closer, quitting all those nasty repetitive sins, and really digging into the Word is what I need to be doing: a sort of wake-up call. So the purpose of this disease is for me to really LIVE rather than die. Maybe my mission in life was always to help others in these instances (in whatever manner God has in store for me - and God has already got me thinking) and to help myself and others grow closer to Him.
My Christian Guidance counselor has a saying I am now stealing from him, "As long as I have a pulse, I have a purpose."

Dawn, You post gives me chills. You are so strong. What an example you are to others. You will beat this!!! If your pager goes off at weird times in 77024 , it might be me. Sending arrow prayers to you continuously. I am so touched by you. Stay strong! LIVE! Live out your purpose!

See His Will at work within you...you have a purpose and He is revealing to you through a very serious, blunt way. He wants your attention 100% right now. I stand on faith 100% that He is not ready for you, His will is being done at this very moment to draw you in near, in His Word, to make changes. In the name of Jesus you will be healed Dawn! For some reason He couldn't get your attention or get you to see what you needed to to make the changes you needed to so He put you on your knees soley dependent on Him, eyes looking to Him to carry you through this - and HE IS GOING TO CARRY YOU AND RESTORE YOUR HEALTH.

ReplyDeleteWhat a powerful post and strong Word this morning. Pastor Joel says something very similar to what your counselor says. He says "As long as you are breathing you have an assignment to do. Otherwise God would already take us Home to Glory!"
I so get what you are saying about being drawn in closer to Him. After my mom went to live with Jesus full time, the LORD got my full attention. That is when I TOTALLY surrendered my life over to Him. He wasn't just my Savior and Redeemer, He truly became the LORD and MASTER of my life. I didn't make a move without consulting HIM first. That was 4 1/2 years ago. I can't even begin to tell you the changes He did within me. Furthermore, I marvel at the way He catapulted me into places and positions I could only dream of. As Ms Dodie says, "But God"
This may be your season of pruning. God prunes us so we can bloom in a mighty way. Maybe it is your time to walk into you Divine Destiny. That part makes me really excited for you.
Last night when I was praying for you, the LORD brought to mind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. King Neb had ordered the fire 7 times hotter for those three because he was so mad they would not serve the false gods of the world. The scriptures say that the fire was so hot that it burned up the guards who were taking them to it. Why did it not even singe the hairs of the Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego? Because God was with them. Not only did God himself walk them TO that fire, but if you read further in Daniel you will see that God Himself was IN the fire with them!! God walked them TO it and God walked them THROUGH it!!
King Neb was so amazed that he ran to the opening of the fire and said, Servants of the MOST HIGH GOD, come out of there!
Dawn, I say all that to say this, THE LORD OUR GOD IS WITH YOU! He will never leave you nor forsake you.
We are praying for you and with you. We are also praising God for His Refining Fire that will not consume you, just burn away the parts that are keeping you from your Divine Purpose and Destiny.
He alone is our Refuge and Strong Tower. Our God in Whom we trust!

Hi Dawn - Glad you are in your new "digs." What a wonderful city we are in with wonderful medical attention. Of course - GOD being the ultimate doctor. I love reading your post - you are so strong. Stay close to HIM!!! Writing you brings back so many memories - mexican dresses in san antonio - wax museum in europe - polyester choir uniforms - "counselor" Eva - waiting for sheep to cross the road in scotland - much more.
